Time Lapse Requirements

Best way to get this effect, Is to use a stills camera SLR ,Tripod and a ND filter for the blur effect. And to manually edit the interval time for each shot for example 1 frame every 10 seconds.

The second and cheaper way is to have a Tripod and DV video camera. and speed it up to whatever time you want.

Possible Iconic Time Lapse Locations

When wanting to find our locations to create our time-lapse as a group we decided to have a look at images on google, when getting more in depth with research I suggested to go onto google earth to locate the exact points, this is good and accessible because of it being on the internet, its also free so we are taking advantage of our resources be as well prepared as we can be. Here are some pictures below. And some Time Lapses that other people have made and I have been Inspired by Via youtube.

I went round london looking for possible places for Time lapses of iconic london attractions and typed the address in google street to get the images. Iconic places such as the london eye, tower bridge and big ben.

Two Time Lapses of Tower bridge from two different places both could be ideas of where we could shoot our time lapse.

Codes and conventions of a digipak

Codes and conventions of the outside:

Front:
The name of the artist, the name of the album. It will have some sort of lustration or a picture of the Artist, But this goes against the codes and conventions as Jay-z and linking park don’t have there artist photo on the there album cover. The have a rather fascinating black and whit illustration with their names in big bold font and their album name underneath.

Spines of the cover:
It will have the artist and the name of the album. It always has the disk insides format like the DVD logo and also would have a serial code, which would define it.

Back of the cover:
Has a barcode which most albums and any product has.
Has parental explicit contents logo on it as like a age restriction thing has all the makers and publications at the bottom with billing in small print a back ground for all this information to go on and the main code and convention the names, the numbers of the songs and any special features.

Inside flap:
Continuous background that goes through the digipack helping it fit in and

Codes and conventions of the Inside:

It has three compartments

The first compartment holds the booklet with a slit at the top to put the booklet in. It has the continuous background printed on it.

The second compartment has a slit in it; this holds the cd disk, which usually is the one that holds all the music from the album. Still with the print of the background effect.

The third compartment holds the second disk this is usually the DVD disk that holds all the special features and end extras. This compartment has a plastic disk holder instead of the slit and also the strongest and heaviest part of the digipak. And has the continuous background print on it.

BassHunter (Idea 1)

This is one artist I would like to use as a inspiration to how we market Dj Magma. This Is a good example of a successful dj who has created a good identity.

inspirational ideas for my music video

IDEA 2:
This advert shows an idea of a voodoo doll effect moved by the motion of the car and the reality is the beat to the music, which i feel some inspiration of this could be used in our music video. For example like the tossing and turning in the bed which would then go into her in her dream land dancing in a night club. like a sleep walking effect or controlling effect by the music and her dream.

Time Lapse Experiment

I did a trial of a 60 minute time lapse of the main road outside my house, I compressed it into a 60 second time lapse. as this is a key idea that has been spoken about, to use in our music video.

inspirational ideas for my music video

IDEA 1 : The still frame animation bed effect was an idea I though of, to use in our music video seen as our song relates to dreams. we could use some aspects of it.

Camera and Editing Effects

Colour Change Effect: Inspired BY (Sin City and Pleasantville)
taking out all the colours in the frame and leaving one colour or more to create A sense of power for the object you are showing and makes it more distinctive and stand out from the rest of the things in the frame.

Camera and Editing Effects

The Time lapse:
60 minutes of film footage speeded up to fit in to a time frame of 1 minute creating this fast paced time lapse of a main road out side my house. Time lapse has been a major idea for our music video so i have been doing trial and error with this effect.

What is a Digipak

Digipak is a patented style of compact disc or DVD packaging. Digipaks typically consist of a book-style paperboard or card stock outer binding, with one or more plastic trays capable of holding a CD or DVD attached to the inside. Since Digipaks were among the first alternatives to normal CD cases to be used by major record companies,Digipak-style packaging is often used for CD singles or special editions of CD albums, It is a cheaper way to make and is more echo friendly.
